Tavish Crowe released his debut single, Fire, in November 2016 under 604 Records. The song was co-written and produced by Ryan Stewart. Crowe has seen production and writing work for various artists during his career, such as with The Katherines, Madisyn Gifford, and Olivia Penalva.

Work with Jepsen

Jepsen and Crowe have been long-time friends since at least 2009; with the first known song that the pair had worked on together, Call Me Maybe, being created between 2009 and 2011. Originally, Call Me Maybe was written as a folk song with Crowe at Jepsen's uncle's house until she was introduced to Josh Ramsay, who later helped to modify the song to fit the pop genre.

Between 2009 and 2010, Jepsen would form her first touring band, with Crowe selected to play guitar. Jepsen and Crowe have since toured for her headlining shows at The Summer Kiss Tour, the Gimmie Love Tour, and The Dedicated Tour, amongst other live appearances since 2009.

Jepsen and Crowe have also collaborated on numerous songs since the release of Curiosity, with writing credits on each of her albums since. Crowe has also been stated to have been a major part of Jepsen's upcoming sixth studio album, writing and producing various demos whilst in quarantine since the beginning of March 2020. Currently, the project currently remains ongoing with no release date determined.
